Merry Wives of Windsor
Mouth to Mouth Theatre's Summer Tour brings Shakespeare's comic masterpiece to the garden of Red House Farm.
Sir John Falstaff's plans to restore his fortunes by seducing Alice Ford, wife of one of Windsor's wealthy citizens, go awry when he sends her a love letter and, another, identical, letter to Meg Page, her friend. Both women agree to trick Sir John. With three hopeful suitors, who will marry Anne Page, the daughter of a wealthy local family? Busybody Mistress Quickly, is engaged as the lovers' go between, as well as between Alice Ford and Sir John. Jealous husbands chase wives, jealous lovers chase each other and duel. Windsor society is rocked with scandal but with the merry wives fully in control, the lecherous Sir John gets his just rewards and Anne Page finds her true love.
No seating provided so bring a rug or folding chair, a picnic, plenty to drink and indulge yourselves. Ample parking available.
